The Editorial Board Member or Reviewer is a key part of Jurnal Ilmiah Peuradeun. What Should the Editorial Board or Reviewers do?

1. Only accept invitations to review work that is relevant.
2. Review submitted work in a responsible, impartial and timely manner.
3. Report any suspected ethical misconduct as part of a thorough and honest review of the work.
4. Avoid the use of unnecessarily inflammatory or offensive language in their appraisal of the work.
5. In order to provide a good review, a thoughtful and well-balanced report with suggested improvements for our authors, reviewers must be prepared to invest the necessary time to evaluate the manuscript thoroughly.
6. Avoid comments not related to the authors’ work and so forth. Reviews should be constructive and positive feedback to the authors.
7. Seek advice from the editor if anything is unclear at the time of invitation.
8. Accept the commitment to review future versions of the work and provide 'follow up' advice to the editor(s).
9. Remain in good communication with both the publisher and the editor.
10. When approached to review, agree to review only if you have the necessary expertise to assess the manuscript and can be unbiased in your assessment. It is better to identify clearly any gaps in your expertise when asked to review.
11. Ensure you declare all potential competing, or conflicting, interests. If you are unsure about a potential competing interest that may prevent you from reviewing, do raise this. Competing interests may be personal, financial, intellectual, professional, political or religious in nature.
12. You should not agree to review a manuscript just to gain sight of it with no intention of submitting a review or agree to review a manuscript that is very similar to the one you have in preparation or under consideration at another journal.

Requirements

1. Have a strong interest in a scholarly journal.
2. Possess a doctoral degree in the specific subject related closely to the journal.
3. Hold a job at a university or academic organization, in a teaching or research position.
4. Be fluent in academic and professional English.
5. Work quickly and accurately to tight deadlines.
6. The Applicant must be familiar with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) ‘Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors or reviewer’.
